Fall '04: Oklahoma sunset in Norman's suburbia. One of my first photos taken with my then new camera. Today marks one year since the purchase of my lovely camera. She's a Nikon D70 with an 18-70 (3.5-4.5) Nikkor lens. Though she's shooting strong, she is showing some signs of wear. The paint on the ON/OFF switch has rubbed off along with the paint on the display button -- evidence of heavy use.
She's been good to me so far. And if my hard drive had something to say about it, perhaps a little too good.
Currently, there reside in the innerds of my computer, 25 GIGAbytes of photos--all taken within the last year.
Some might say this is overkill, others just a hobby. I think it's merely good and healthy documentation of my life and others'. So, the next time you see me pull out my little black companion, just nod and smile (but don't look at me, cause I might be going for a candid shot) and know that for these few frames, your life is being documented (preserved in time, even), too.

Do you always get this many commercial comments? Amazing. Anyway, I like your camera too. May its lens never fail you -
